Agnetha Faltskog
Though she's earned an impact as an individual artist in Sweden, Agnetha Faltskog will always be remembered as one of the members of 'ABBA' an iconic and famous and well-known pop acts ever. When she left school at the age of 15 Agnetha began her singing in Bernt Enghardt's band, and quickly gained fans. She secured a recording deal with Enghardt, and her debut album charted in Sweden. She got engaged, then got married to Bjorn Ulvaeus. They became a member of the group 'ABBA'. ABBA was among the the most loved pop groups throughout the world over the eight-year period. They won the gold and platinum awards throughout the world. Following ABBA's release, she released three albums -'Wrap Your Arms Around Me', 'Eyes of a Woman as well as 'I Stand Alone'. Each having enjoyed great acclaim in Sweden and gained popularity throughout Europe as well but was never able to make an impact on the U.S. In the late '80s, as her career wound to a close her career took an official retirement. ABBA music became the base for a jukebox show called Mamma Mia!. Within the U.K., 'My Coloring Book" hit number 11. Her new album "A" has received positive reviews.
