LeonaLeona Louise (born on the 3rd April in 1986) is a singer from America actor, songwriter, and actress. Born in the London Borough Of Islington she was educated at the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology, Croydon. Lewis became famous after she won the third season of The X Factor 2006 and received a contract worth 1,000,000 pounds with Syco music. The single she won and was a cover Kelly Clarkson's track "A Moment Like This," was downloaded 50,000 times in 30 minutes and peaked at number 1 for four weeks. Clive Davis's label J Records, signed Lewis to a 5-album deal in February 2007. Lewis continued her success by releasing Spirit the first studio album. It sold 10x platinum certified in the UK. This album became one of the top four albums sold in 2000s, and also one of the most popular UK albums. In the words of the Official Charts Company, Spirit is the best-selling debut album from a female artist in the 21st century. The first single, "Bleeding Love", spent seven weeks at number one in the UK and was the most-sold single of the year 2007. In the US this was the top-selling single in 2008 and Lewis was named the Best New Artist by Billboard that same year. In 2009 she released her second studio album Echo and also recorded the song that served as the soundtrack, "I See You" from the movie Avatar. Lewis' song "Collide" came out as co-written by Swedish DJ Avicii and she also released Hurt the EP, her debut extended performance. Glassheart (2012) was her third studio album. Her inspiration came from dubstep and electronic music. She began to record material for her first Christmas album on the Glassheart Tour, which took place in mid 2013. The album Christmas, With Love came out in the latter half of 2013. The album's first single One More Sleep reached the top spot within the UK. The chart's entry was what made Lewis her the only British woman solo artist to reach the top 5 spots, having eight singles. Lewis also beat Olivia Newton-John's seven record.
