Nathalie Emmanuel

Nathalie Emmanuel, a British actress best known for the performance as Missandei (HBO's fantasy drama Game of Thrones) from 2011 to 2019 in the role of an British actor. Emmanuel is a native of England, born and brought up in Southend-on-the-Sea in Essex's famous seaside town, has always been interested in performing. Nathalie's mother took note and she began enroling her in dancing, singing and acting classes when she was only three years old. Emmanuel developed quickly as a actor and, by the late 90s she was playing the role of young Nala on stage in The West End production of the critically acclaimed show "The Lion King." Emmanuel began auditioning in her teens for roles in film and television. Her breakthrough came in 2007 when she was cast as Sasha Valentine, a British soap-opera "Hollyoaks", (Channel 4 95from 2007 to). Emmanuel played the role of Sasha Valentine for four years before leaving Hollyoaks in 2010. Emmanuel was given her big breakthrough on HBO "Game of Thrones" the following year, playing the character of Missandei. In this role, she will be the voice of Daenerys Targaryen's role (portrayed by Emilia Clarke). Emmanuel appeared in every season of "Game of Thrones" up until the series' May 2019 finale.
